sayonara* to sheldon and the gang

Three months. That’s how long Sheldon will be stationed in the North Pole for a monopolar expedition. With him are the rest of the nerdy bunch namely Wolowitz, Raj, and Leonard (arranged according to the amount of laughter elicited by each character, subjectively speaking of course). Sheldon, if you don’t know, is the Theoretical Physicist with way off the charts IQ but needs improvement in the social-interaction-and-at-least-act-like-a-human-being department. He’s one character you’d love to hate but love anyway.

I’ve watched all forty episodes of Tseason-2-promo-pic-the-big-bang-theory-2847657-2500-1667he Big Bang Theory. This translates to 1000 minutes spent in front of my laptop which equals to 16 plus hours or 2 days’ worth of working at my desk plus a bit of overtime (Wow. Calculating all the time I’ve spent watching makes me feel like a couch potato extraordinaire. My only excuse is I’m really just exercising my brain. Some people do crossword puzzles while others, Sudoku. I watch a sitcom. Mind your own brain, please. Pun intended!)

But not all good things last forever for the inevitable and inescapable end has come. More specifically the end…of Season 2.

Bye for now, Sheldon. I have a feeling I’m gonna miss you. Actually, I think I already do. But it’s OK. There will be Season 3. And by then, I’ll be ready to welcome you and the rest of the gang and flex my mental muscles again. For the meantime, Gregory House, Wilson, Cuddy, Foreman, Thirteen, Taub, Cameron and Chase will be keeping me company. :)

*goodbye in Japanese.
