Cluttered thoughts

Not many choices but 80% of the time, the food is good. I’m talking  about Tsoko.nut tucked in one corner of SM Makati. I had chorizong hubad (or was it called Arroz ala Cubana?) and their houseblend iced tea last night. I was nearly finished with my meal when Jen on  my left sat down to start enjoying hers: spaghetti. When I asked for a forkful to taste, I realized that her food tasted so much better. Thus, I am adapting the popular saying,”The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence,” with “The food always tastes better from the other plate.”

Finally, after weeks and weeks of waiting, my Acer Aspire One netbook is back on  my lap. Now fully functional after its hard disk and motherboard were replaced, I am happy to say that I have not experienced any single moment of freezing. This mini-machine has been a source of frustration since it started to go cranky on me. When? Like days after I bought it. Turns out that the unit sold to me had a factory defect which necessitated the replacement of a couple of parts. But am giving this machine another chance to rent a space in my heart after its major transplants. :) So far, so good.

Did you know that God fed approximately a million people for forty years with manna and quail? Since the Israelites were doing a lot of walking, there was no way for them to grow crops to sustain their nutritional needs. So their food must only come from nowhere else but Above! Though that fact is not exactly new to me, it was only recently when its implications finally sunk. I won’t be expounding on the many other points my Bible Study group and I shared but let me just underscore the dailyness of God’s faithfulness. It means I can sleep soundly tonight, knowing that a fresh serving of His tender mercies will be waiting for me in the morning. That, the assurance of God’s care and love, is the best pillow I can lay my head on.
